New Album...

Wolters is currently working on a brand new album of traditional folk songs.

The album will feature some modern takes on some well known old songs, as well as some more traditional versions.

It's hoped the album will be ready for release by spring 2010.

More details will follow when they're announced.

Radio...

The October editions of the Rik Wolters Folk Show and The Sound Project will be available from rikwolters.co.uk for the first time.

The Rik Wolters Folk Show is an hour long broadcast, which this month celebrates the birthday of the world's older independent record lable, Topic Records. The show features some classic tunes from the label by artists including Anne Briggs, June Tabor, Ewan MacColl, Martin Carthy and the Watersons.

The Sound Project features a selection of the best new music for recent months. The October broadcast features tunes by artists such as Monogrenade, Arthur & Martha, Titus Andronicus, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and Jellybean!

These shows will be available for a month from the start of October.
